On January 8, 2015, police in Houston, Texas arrested 33-year-old Willie Durall after they confiscated pills from him that they believed were Alprazolam, an anti-anxiety medication.

On January 12, 2015, Durall pled guilty in Harris County Criminal District Court to a misdemeanor charge of possession of a controlled substance. He was sentenced to 30 days in the Harris County Jail.

On February 27, 2015, the Houston Police crime laboratory performed tests on the pills and no illegal drugs were detected.

The Harris County District Attorney's office conviction integrity unit was notified and informed Durall's defense attorney.

In June 2016, the prosecution supported a state petition for a writ of habeas corpus filed by Durall's defense attorney. On June 14, 2016, Durall's conviction was vacated and the prosecution dismissed the charge.
